First Game Jam Afterthoughts


Hello everyone. Recently I have participated in my first Game Jam, which was Mini Jam with theme "break". Before the jam started I thought that it will be hard to create a fully playable game in just 72 hours. Fortunately it is summertime so I could use most of this time on actual game development since I don't need to go to college :). Theme was announced way ahead of actual game jam start, so I had plenty of time to think about the game. Actually, idea that I used pop'ed up immediately. "Break" has different meanings. I thought of combining two of them: to take break on something and to break something. When limitation was announced I saw that it would not  interfere with my idea so I started working. During the development of this game I strongly improved my programming and  art skills (you definitely would not like too see how game looked at first, character looked disgusting) and I finally know that I can develop a whole game in such a short time. Now I'm participating in Brackeys Game Jam (hope that I would not have Game Jam addiction in future, we'll see).
